So how do we get the proper nutrition, if we
can't get it from our diet? What is wrong with
the vitamins I'm currently taking, and how do I know what to look for in a vitamin?

Eniva's Vice Chairman and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Benjamin Baechler explains it like this:
"To understand the INEFFECTIVENESS of the majority of current mineral supplements and to LEARN what our bodies are REALLY looking for when it comes to supplementation, all we need to do is look to nature. For years it has provided us with the perfect blue print for the form and design of our nutrition. When this blue print is not followed, supplements have very little or no impact upon improving health, and even worse, can actually contribute to harmful toxicity conditions!

The presence of nutrients in plants has been known for centuries. As simple as it sounds, minerals are rocks. The natural process is for minerals and other nutrients to be absorbed from the soil by plants. Humans then, consume the plants--after the plant has changed the metallic compound into a design that is usable by the body In this way, through the miracle of Mother Nature, we receive our mineral nutrition

Now there are 3 basic requirements for mineral particles to be effectively ABSORBED
and used by the cells of our bodies. 1)
Correct particle size, 2) a water-soluble form, and 3) an ionic charge."

You see, most of the mineral supplements on the market today do not meet these 3 basic requirements, but lets take a look into each of these requirements individually so that you may learn why these requirements are so important.

1) Correct particle size: As Dr. Baechler mentions above, minerals are rocks. The pills, tablets, or colloidal minerals you take contain minerals that are crushed up into a certain sized particle. If the particles are NOT the correct size, they may actually contribute to conditions or diseases you're not even aware of.

"Can incorrect particle size really cause problems in my body?
What is the correct size, and what does that have to do with the vitamin's effectiveness?"

Think about it this way, if I gave you a watermelon and asked you to squeeze it through a keyhole, what would you say? You'd think I was crazy, right? Now think about how small a cell of the body is. In order for the body to be able to USE the minerals, they must be SMALLER than the cells because the human body CANNOT digest rocks (remember that minerals are rocks?). To be precise, the minerals need to be angstrom-sized (4 times smaller than the cell) or smaller.

Almost all of the vitamins on the market today, including colloidal minerals, are using minerals the size of 1 micron or LARGER.

For the sake of comparison, a micron is the size of the tip of a split human hair,
and it would take 10,000 angstrom on a horizontal plane to cover the distance of one micron. This means that micron-sized minerals are thousands of times to large to be absorbed by the CELLS of the body.

Instead of being absorbed by the CELLS of the body, minerals that are micron-sized and larger get absorbed into the blood stream. What happens then is that, since they're too large to be absorbed into the cells, they float around in the blood stream until they are deposited into the soft tissues of the body. The unnecessary accumulation of the minerals in these tissues increases the likelihood of devastating health conditions! That's right, they really can cause problems in the body!

"Everyone knows too much of a good thing is a bad thing. At the same time, too much of a good thing, in the wrong form, can be even worse!"

"So what kind of problems can these too-large minerals cause?"

Calcium in the wrong particle size can result in bone spurs, calcification of joints, kidney stones, and combined with cholesterol, it hardens arteries—one of the leading causes of heart disease.

Iron particles that accumulate in the body can cause a disease called hemachromatosis, where individuals often need to be bled, through a procedure called flabodomy, every couple of weeks to remove the iron particles accumulating in their bloodstream. Iron toxicity is very dangerous, especially for men, where it directly contributes to cardiovascular disease.

Even colloidal multi-mineral drinks can be toxic!

Chromium in its colloidal form causes hearing loss and liver failure.

Selenium in its colloidal form can be fatal

Copper in its colloidal form causes metal disorders and violent rages, vascular collapse, and induces coma!

Mineral supplements in tablet and pill forms can be even worse because they generally use minerals with even bigger particle sizes!

Remember: Minerals are ROCKS. They DO NOT break down. They CANNOT be digested.

In order for mineral supplements to be used effectively, they MUST be the correct particle size.

2) A water-soluble form:As I've mentioned before, minerals are rocks. Rocks by nature, are not soluble. If you put a rock into a glass of water, or even acid, and leave it there for 100 years, it will still be there, undissolved. Rocks are in-soluble. I've also mentioned that the human body cannot use rocks, even if they're crushed up into micron-sized pieces, they're still crushed rocks.

Plants have the ability to take minerals and transform them into a design that is water-soluble, which is usable by the human body. Nutritional supplements that are able mimic this plant process, that are in an aqueous or water-soluble form, meet the body's requirement for proper delivery to all organs, tissues, and cells.

The textbook Pharmaceutical Dosage states:
"Drugs or nutrients administered in solution are absorbed much more rapidly than those administered in solid form, since the process of (digestion) is not required"

it also states:
"...water-soluble solutions are in a form most conducive for absorption into the bloodstream..."

Unfortunately, tablets, pills, chelated, and colloidal mineral supplements do not mimic the plant's process and DO NOT contain minerals that are water-soluble, and because of this, supplements in tablet or pill form are only 10% absorbed by the body!

This means that if you've been spending $100 per month on nutritional supplements, a minimum of $90 is literally going straight down the drain.

Many people notice that when they take nutritional supplements, their urine becomes discolored and cloudy. This "cloud" in their urine is the unusable mineral particles being excreted. If you want to literally see this for yourself, swallow a tablet or pill, wait a couple of hours, and then retain some of your urine in a clear cup and place it in the refrigerator. Wait an hour and then look at the solution. You will be able to see sediment at the bottom of the cup. There's your $90.
